MTSU Brass Studies: Mr. Jeff Bailey

Jeff Bailey

Jeff Bailey has been a contracted member of The Nashville Symphony since 1983. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from George Peabody College at Vanderbilt University in 1981; his teachers include William Adam, Karl Zimmerman, Patrick McGuffey and Lou Ranger. Bailey has been a featured soloist with the Nashville Chamber Orchestra, and was a member of the Nashville Contemporary Brass Quintet for 9 years. He is adjunct assistant professor of trumpet at the Blair School of Music/Vanderbilt University and a member of the Blair Brass Quintet. He frequently performs with the Chris McDonald Orchestra, the Nashville Jazz Machine, and he is an active studio and freelance musician. Some of his record credits include Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Peter Cetera, Matchbox 20, Point of Grace, Billy Gilman, Shelby Lynne, Garth Brooks and the Neville Brothers.
