Sean Donovan, a senior at MTSU, is originally from Murfreesboro. In high school he played in the Curb Youth Symphony and the Murfreesboro Youth Orchestra in addition to attending the Interlochen Arts Camp in the summers. As a college student he has performed with the Wind Ensemble, Chamber Winds, the Broad Street Brass, the University Symphony and the Chamber Orchestra, a group with which he has also appeared as a soloist.

He has also attended the Chamber Music Institute at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with the Broad Street Brass, earned Second Place at the Southeast Horn Workshop quartet competition along with members of the studio, and has performed with the Wind Ensemble in China and South Korea. He will be competing in the International Brass Chamber Music Competition at the University of Louisville in October, and is graduating in December.

Andrew England is a sophomore horn performance major from Gallatin, TN. Andrew began playing horn in seventh grade middle school band and continued horn throughout high school where he decided to major in music. Andrew has played in various honor bands in Tennessee and played in the Curb Youth Symphony. In March 2008 Andrew competed, along with three other horn players from MTSU, at the Southeast Horn Workshop Quartet Competition winning second place. Andrew also attended the Sewanee Summer Music Festival in the summer of 2008. Currently Andrew plays with the MTSU Wind Ensemble, Chamber Brass, Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, and Horn Ensemble. Andrew is also a member of the Sophomore Horn Quartet and the Congralliocton Brass Quintet.

John Park Horner is a sophomore music performance major from Columbia, Tennessee. He has participated in various honor bands around the state including the All Middle Tennessee State Honor Band. Most recently, he attended the 2008 Sewannee Summer Music Festival. He is currently a member of the MTSU symphonic band, symphony orchestra, and sophomore horn quartet..

First year graduate student Ion Marina-Uifalean was born in Mociu, Cluj County, Romania. He began his musical studies at the age of ten at Sigismund Toduta Music High School from Cluj-Napoca and received a Bachelor of Music from Gheorghe Dima Music Academy, Cluj-Napoca in 2003. Ion has performed with most of the orchestras in Cluj area including the Transilvania State Philharmonic Orchestra, National Opera House from Cluj-Napoca, Oradea Philharmonic Orchestra, Sibiu Philharmonic Orchestra including European tours to Germany, France, Italy and Spain. Since 2004 he has been the 3rd/ Assistant horn at Dinu Lipatti State Philharmonic Orchestra from Satu-Mare. Ion has also appeared as soloist with Transilvania State Philharmonic Orchestra, played with the Transilvania Brass, Harmonic Brass Band and Napoca Brass Quintet. Also since 2004, he has been Teacher Assistant at the Gheorge Dima Music Academy, Cluj-Napoca.

Owen Jackson is currently a freshman at MTSU and a high school graduate of Lincoln County High School in Fayetteville, TN. During his years in high school, he performed in various high school ensembles including symphonic band, woodwind quintet, horn quartet and brass choir. Along with school ensembles, he performed in various honor bands and side groups including the All-Middle Tennessee Band, MTSU Wind Band Conference and the Huntsville Youth Orchestra. He is currently enrolled as a double major in music education and music composition and is in the Band of Blue and Symphonic Band at MTSU.

Matt Lance, a graduate of Blackman High School in Murfreesboro, TN, is a freshman currently pursuing his bachelor�s in Aerospace. He began playing in the 6th grade and during middle and high school, Matt played in numerous honor ensembles including All-Mid State & All Rutherford County. Matt has also had the pleasure of being the principle horn in pit orchestras for Damn Yankees, Wizard of Oz, and West Side Story. Matt also experiments with designing and machining his own mouthpieces and mutes and instrument enhancement and repair.

Stephanie McKeel currently a sophomore at MTSU, comes from Louisville, Kentucky. She has been a participant of the Kentucky All-State Bands and orchestra and has attended various honor bands across the state of Kentucky. In addition to traveling in state, McKeel has had the privilege of traveling to Toronto to perform in the Heritage Music Festival as well as touring Europe with the Kentucky Ambassadors of Music, and China with the MTSU Wind Ensemble. As a horn performance major, McKeel is looking forward to the coming year.

Vincent Michael Osan is a freshmen at MTSU and graduated from Fred J. Page High school. He has performed in various honor bands through out the mid-state as well as brass ensembles and the Williamson County Youth Orchestra. Vincent Osan is currently a member of The Band of Blue, Symphonic Band and he is working toward a degree is Music Education.

Mady Robertson is a freshman at MTSU. She is originally from Murfreesboro and performed in many high school honor bands and the Murfreesboro Youth Symphony. She is currently in Band of Blue and has not declared a major.

A graduate of Antioch High School, R. Michael Rosson is currently pursuing his B. M. Degree in Instrumental Music Education with an emphasis in conducting studies. During his high school career, Michael played with numerous honor bands throughout the region, including the All-Middle Tennessee State Band. Michael is currently an avid horn player throughout the School of Music; having performed in Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Symphony Orchestra, various chamber ensembles and the Band of Blue. During the Summer of 2007, Michael traveled with the Wind Ensemble to China; performing concerts and holding master classes with the local Chinese students. Michael is also involved in organizations campus-wide including the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Collegiate Music Educators National Conference and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity. After graduation from MTSU, Michael intends to further himself as a Wind Band Educator/ Conductor by earning a M.M. Degree in Wind Band Conducting.

Hannah Tilton is a junior horn performance major at Middle Tennessee State University. In high school, she participated in regional ensembles such as the Mid-State and All-State Bands and Orchestra and was a finalist in the Curb Young Musician's Concerto Competition numerous times. Hannah was a recipient of the Myra Jackson Pre-College Scholarship at Vanderbilt University for 2 years. Hannah has also attended numerous music festivals such as the Sewanee Summer Music Festival, the Eastern Music Festival, the TN Governor's School for the Arts, and the Aspen Music Festival and School.

Ana Valenzuela is a sophomore at MTSU from Athens, Alabama where she graduated from East Limestone High School. She attended multiple honor bands during high school including Middle Tennessee State University, University of North Alabama, Auburn University, and the University of Montevallo. In 2007 she attended All-State Orchestra at the University of Alabama and All-State Band at the University of Auburn. During All-State Band she also participated in the All-State Solo Competition and received a superior rating. During Ana's first year at MTSU she participated in ensembles such as, Band of Blue, Symphonic Band, and the Sophomore Horn Quartet. She also attended the Southeastern Horn Workshop during the spring Semester.

Sarah Wofford is a freshman at MTSU as a vocal and instrumental music education double major. She is originally from Memphis, TN where she graduated from Briarcrest Christian High School. In high school, she participated in the marching and concert band. She was selected for various honor bands at the University of Memphis, University of Tennessee at Martin, All-West Tennessee Honor Band, Memphis Area Youth Wind Ensemble, and All-State Honor Band. Currently, Sarah is a member of the MTSU Band of Blue and Symphonic Band.
